We've been working at this, and she has improved. I even leave the bedroom doors open most of the time. Yesterday, I decided to give her a little test. Gary had left socks on the floor of the family room, (yes, I know, he needs trained, too!) so I handed Molly one of the socks and gave her the command, "Carry."
She was so proud, she trotted after me into the bedroom and up to the hamper. But when I gave her the command, "Give," we had a bit of trouble. She wanted to chew that delicious sock, not give it back to me.
Have you ever had a particular temptation that you couldn't avoid? Were you able to spit it out when God said, "Give it to me?" Or did you give in and chew it?
God doesn't promise that we won't be tempted, what He does promise is when we are tempted, He "... will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it." 1 Corinthians 10:13
