Our neighbor plows this lane and our driveway, so we have a place to walk where the snow is not too deep. It's just perfect for me. But Molly wants to go where the snow is deepest. Her short-legged father's genes make it impossible for her to walk there, so she adopted a frog-like leap to maneuver across the yard or field. I call her to my side on the path, but she romps back into the drifts.
Sometimes God sends snow in our lives. It makes our walk difficult, we may be afraid of slipping or falling. But He has already made a path through it with His snowplow. We have His promise in Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."
We don't have to struggle and hop through the snow like a frog, we don't have to be buried by it. Trust in Him, go in the path He has provided, and our walk will be so much easier, even when there's snowfall.
