I said, "Okay, but we have to pick up the blocks first."
I watched him go down the hall and push the small oak chair back to the dining room where the blocks covered the floor. Then he sat down on it. "I'm just gonna watch," he told me.
I assured him that's not how it worked and after a while he hopped down and helped me complete the chore of getting all the blocks back in the tub.
I wonder, how often do we tell God, "I'm just gonna watch." And then we sit in the chair and watch others do the job he has intended for us to do.
Paul tells the Galatians in 6:9-10 "We can't allow ourselves to get tired of living the right way ... Whenever we have the opportunity we have to do what is good for everyone, especially the family of believers."
What is God prompting you to do today? Are you going to sit in the chair and watch? Or are you going to hop down and work?
