I thought for a moment how I wanted to be a sun dog, reflecting a tiny bit of God's glory. But sun dogs are brief phantoms, appearing and disappearing almost at whim.
That night as I bedded down in our warm home, I glanced out the window at our frozen back yard. There in the dark, a little solar light glowed on the hill. All day long, the solar light soaks in the sun's rays. Then, when all is dark, you can see a little bit of sunlight glowing in the dark.
I guess I'd rather not be a fleeting display of color, but a steadfast reflection of the time I spend with the Son.
Matthew 5:14 You are the light of the world ... let your light so shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in Heaven.
