I grew up in a small Iowa town that did the Fourth up Big. We had a parade, a carnival, and, of course, fireworks.
It was always my dream to ride a prancing horse in the parade. So much so, that one
Fourth, my best friend and I cut horses’ heads out of cardboard, fastened them
on our bicycles, and rode them in the parade. I don’t remember people laughing
at us, but then, I have never been very observant.

stop and pray for our country. Our country that was founded one
nation, under God. Our country, which has strayed so far from those beginnings.
As I read the Old Testament warnings for the nation of Israel, I cannot help but
think God’s punishment is coming for the United States. Take time and pray: pray
for revival, pray for healing, pray for godly men to lead the
And may you all have a prancing horse to ride in a parade!
